Who this is for. Everyone. This is an honest list of what the platform talks about in the future tense: what already exists in the interface but has not launched, and what looks empty or zero because of it.
How to tell "not live" from "broken"
Where a feature is ready on screen but not launched, the workspace shows a grey "Not connected yet" mark and says in words what to expect. That is neither an error nor a fault.
The platform's site carries a status line: the subscription works, the payment gateway is launching, the tax agent function is being agreed with the authorities.
The general reading rule: if the platform writes about something in the future tense ("will", "will appear", "will start working"), it is not there yet.
Payments through the platform
What is missing. A student cannot pay for a lesson on the site. Money does not pass through the platform in any form at all.
What happens instead. The student or the parent pays the tutor directly, as they agreed between themselves. The tutor marks such lessons with the "Mark as paid" button in the lesson card, and the workspace keeps the books.
Where you see it. The tutor's "Finance" section, the "Payments through the platform" card: a "Not connected yet" mark and the text explaining that students currently pay directly, that the tutor marks payments with one button, and that paying on the site with a hold until the lesson will come later. In that state the card has no "Edit" button.
In the student's "Finance": payments through the platform are not live yet, so pay the tutor directly, as agreed.
In the tutor's finances block: payments are not live yet, with the note that lessons are tracked while the money comes directly from students, and that marking a lesson as paid shows what has been settled.
What will happen at launch. The student pays on the site, the money waits in a hold until the lesson and reaches the tutor afterwards. Buying packages will appear as well.
What shows zeros because of this
This is the most common source of questions, so point by point. All the amounts listed are calculated from money the platform never received, so they are zero by construction, not by mistake.
For tutors, these are not shown at all (rather than shown as zero):
- in the "Balance" card: "On hold", "Available" and "Paid out in 30 days";
- in "Finance": "In escrow" with a breakdown by student, "Received this week" (month, year) with a breakdown by payer, and also "Social payments" and "Platform fee".
One rule holds across the workspace: a money line that cannot exist without payments is not shown. A zero under the word "Available" would read as money gone missing, and a zero next to "Social payments" as "there are no taxes", while you are the one paying them right now.
The "Operations" feed stays visible; it is simply empty.
For students and parents:
- the lesson balance, what came in and what was charged during the period;
- the payment detail list, which is empty;
- the hint about how many lessons are left is not shown at all. The remainder is calculated from money in a hold, and there is none, so staying silent is more honest than writing a zero to someone who never bought anything.
And here is what does work and shows real numbers: "Last 30 days" and "Unpaid, all time" for tutors, "Paid in 30 days" and "Due, all time" for payers, "Lessons held, worth", "Paid directly", "Awaiting payment" and the monthly report. All of it is counted from lessons, not from money.
Lesson packages
What exists. A tutor can describe packages in their profile, in the "Services" card: under every subject there is a "Lesson packages" block with ready sizes of 5, 10 and 20 lessons, each with its own price and a discount in per cent.
What is missing. A package cannot be bought on the site. There is no purchase button for students or parents.
How to use this now. Treat it as a price list. You show the student what a block of lessons costs, and the settlement happens directly between you.
Lines about lessons left in a package exist in the workspace, but there is nothing to fill them with yet.
Withdrawing money
A withdrawal works as a request: an amount and payout details, then the states pending, processing, completed or rejected.
Right now there is nothing to withdraw, because the platform receives no money. The withdrawal form is not shown, and an attempt to create a request bypassing the interface ends with a refusal explaining that payments are not live yet.
The payout details field does not open in that state either: its hint says outright that this is the account the platform will transfer your money to.
Taxes and receipts in the self-employment app
It is important not to get this wrong, because it concerns your obligations to the state.
What the platform does not do yet:
- it does not withhold your social payments;
- it does not transfer them;
- it does not issue receipts in the self-employment app for you;
- it does not report your income.
What you do yourself. You count the income for the month, issue a receipt in e-Salyq Business and pay the single payment yourself.
How the platform helps already. The monthly report ("Finance", the "Monthly report" link) shows a line at the bottom with the income received during the month, for the e-Salyq receipt. That is exactly the number to enter: it includes only lessons that were settled with you. Unpaid ones go on a separate line below and do not enter the receipt. The report can be downloaded as CSV or printed.
What the workspace says. The "Taxes" card in "Finance" is marked "Not connected yet" and explains that automatic payment of the single payment will start working once the platform is connected to the tax service systems, and that for now you pay it yourself in e-Salyq Business, with the amount for the receipt shown by the monthly report.
What can already be set: "Taxpayer status", a choice between self-employed and sole proprietor. It will drive the calculation once automatic payment works. The line about automatic social payments and the tax number field will appear together with the launch.
About the self-employment limit. That regime has a monthly income ceiling. When your income gets close to it, a warning arrives. The warning itself works; withholding and transferring the payments does not.
The subscription invoice
The pricing tier is calculated for real: the "Your month" card shows the number of students, the tier and the price, and the calculation runs every month.
But no invoice is issued during the pilot. If the tier works out to a paid amount, a green note next to it says that no invoice is issued during the pilot.
That means literally this: no subscription money is taken, no debt grows, no letters about arrears arrive, and nothing is locked. There is no way to pay for the tier in the workspace at all right now.
The platform keeps the history of charges anyway, so that the calculation is verified by the time of the launch.
The video lesson without Google Calendar
The platform has no video meeting link of its own. The link comes only from an event in the tutor's Google Calendar.
Which leads to:
- if the tutor never connected Google Calendar, the "Join Google Meet" button will not exist for them, for the student or for the parent. Never, not "yet": in this arrangement there is nowhere for a link to come from without Google;
- a custom link (Zoom, a meeting in a messenger) cannot be typed into the lesson card: there is no field for it;
- even with Google connected the link does not appear instantly. Lessons travel to the calendar in batches, roughly every quarter of an hour, and only the coming week is picked up. For the rest, the lesson card has a "Create Meet link" button;
- the link is visible while the lesson is neither finished nor cancelled. The day of the lesson does not matter: it can be sent to the student in advance;
- if Google access breaks, syncing stops, the tutor gets a notification, and new lessons stop receiving links until it is reconnected.
How to manage without Google: agree a way of calling with the student separately (a phone call, any messenger) and write about it in the chat. Lesson tracking, homework and money are not affected in any way.
What does work in full
So that the picture is even, here is what has launched and works without reservations:
- signing in by every method, invitations, roles;
- the schedule, single lessons and series, rescheduling, cancellation, late cancellation and returning a charge;
- homework with files and reviews;
- lesson materials and the "Media" library;
- chat and notifications (the bell, Telegram, push);
- the tutor's tracking of lessons and money: what was held, what was paid directly, what is awaiting payment;
- the monthly report with CSV and printing;
- the monthly report for payers;
- syncing with Google Calendar and video meeting links for those who connected it;
- reviews;
- account deletion.
